Melbourne's new taphouse, Amphlett House, has a lot more than beer on tap to enjoy with its contemporary pub meals, taking the classics and serving them with lots of flair.
Melbourne has just welcomed a new taphouse and we're excited for its elevated drinks. Amphlett House, located in the Paris end of Melbourne's CBD on the corner of Little Bourke Street and Amphlett Lane, is changing how we think about drinks on tap with wines and handcrafted cocktails using Australian ingredients served alongside craft beers. The beer selection comes courtesy of boutique Australian breweries and the first cocktail on tap is the Coffee & Orange Americano. Amphlett House also serves modern takes of pub classics to accompany your drinks and include smoked bone marrow on toast served with a parsley and shallot salad, oysters with mignonette dressing, and breaded chicken breast served with a creamy Italian coleslaw. With the pub found in the heart of the city's theatre district, it is the perfect rendezvous for dinner and drinks before or after a show.
