The French capital is hosting My Kinda Vacation, a wonderfully fun exhibition of artist Stickymonger's very first show with only colourful paintings.
On the Left Bank of Paris, Pavillon Rive Gauche is hosting My Kinda Vacation, an exhibition showcasing the works of artist Stickymonger, with the exhibition space, housed in a former movie theatre, welcoming for the first time the colourful artwork of the artist, who usually favours black and white pieces. My Kinda Vacation is Stickymonger's interpretation of her perfect vacation, which is more like zoning out than travelling, with the artist admitting it is something that is unfamiliar to her and her "kinda vacation is to zone out" doing normal things. Her portrayal of her kind of preferred vacation is interpreted in manga-style paintings of daydreaming in a ball pit, swinging in a hammock and sitting on a bean bag playing video games. The exhibition is playing out from the 18th of November to the 5th of December and is a colourful way to zone out and take in art that will have you daydreaming of your own perfect vacation.
