Jean Paul Gaultier has teamed up with Melissa to bring us heels we didn't know we needed, chunky jelly shoes.
The ugly shoe trend isn't going away anytime soon with even celebrated French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier dipping his toe in the trend. The designer has partnered up with Melissa, the label famous for their jelly shoes, and has designed a limited edition collection in celebration of the duo's 40th anniversary of their very first collaboration. The collection features two models, a platform heel sandal and a chunky-heeled shoe, both borrowing from Gaultier's love of punk fashion, covering the two models with studs. This collection is definitely not for the faint-hearted but will add fashion cred to your step, just pair with a denim skirt, a tank top and biker jacket, and you will win the one-third ugly rule of fashion, plus this is a budget way to wear a JPG design.
