The humble gelato has been given a makeover at Piccolina with 8 Melbourne chefs reinventing their favourite milkbar classics into new flavours.
It's the treat you didn't know you needed but now that it is here your tastebuds will be doing a nostalgic happy dance. Piccolina, one of Melbourne's popular gelateria, is bringing back The Piccolina Gelato Project: 8 Chefs in 8 Weeks, a delicious event running from October 2 to November 26 with 8 Melbourne chefs each turning their favourite childhood classics from their local milkbar into limited edition gelato flavours. Reinventing the scoop, Piccolina will be offering three unique flavours each week. Try Stephen Nairn's Strawberry Cloud, strawberry cream gelato infused with fresh basil, strawberry sherbet and dehydrated strawberry, or perhaps Jacqui Challinor's Bubble O'Bill, made with bubblegum and strawberry gelato, milk chocolate stracciatella gelato and a gum ball. Other delicious creations include nerds, raspberry spider, lolly bag mix, toffee apple and cinnamon doughnut, yum!
