La Finca Nights

Paris's La Finca hotel is our go-to for great food, cocktails and comfy accommodation.

Come for the food, stay for the rooms at the recently opened La Finca hotel. Located in the trendy 11th arrondissement of Paris just a few minutes from the bustling Bastille neighbourhood, this hotel serves a mouthwatering Mediterranean menu while its décor will transport you to a seaside holiday all without leaving the French capital.

On the ground floor is where you will find the bar and restaurant, and while you cannot sit in them right now because of lockdown rules, you can still take full advantage of the menu from the comfort of your room upstairs. Start your evening with a signature cocktail such as the refreshing Cherry Cherry Spritz or order any classic cocktail or even a simple glass of chilled rosé wine to start your evening on a rosy note. For your in-room cocktail hour nibble on freshly baked focaccia bread and olives before enjoying a Mediterranean spread for dinner. The menu here is an ode to the culinary favourites of Spain, Greece and Italy with hommus dip, falafel balls, burrata cheese and patatas bravas making up the tapas-style entrées, while great choices for mains include the roasted cauliflower drizzled with Greek yoghurt and herbs, and the house's signature Greenburger, one of the best veggie burgers in the city. If you have a sweet tooth make sure you leave room for the Nutella Panettone, served warm the panettone sits in a bed of melted chocolate, ending your meal on a sweetly delicious note, and the best part is that you can just walk over to your bed.

The rooms here are inspired by Spanish country estates with the aesthetics taking you to Ibiza for the night. The primarily white rooms with wicker detailing are brightened up with gorgeous photographs or printed motifs, making sure you voyage with every glance. While the hotel is classified as 3-star, it offers amenities that take it up the hotel ladder to 4-star level, with a Nespresso machine in every room, plush bathrobes and 24-hour access to the spa, which is tipped to open later in the year in September.

With great cuisine and comfortable accommodation, La Finca gets our tick of approval for a great staycation in Paris, and we predict that once all travel restrictions are lifted it will be a hit with international visitors.
