Her Majesty's Theatre brings Hamilton to its stage to tell the story of America through hip-hop and R&B and delves the audience into the story of Alexander Hamilton, the American founding father.

Award-winning musical Hamilton is taking centre stage at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne and it is proving to be quite the fun and educational spectacle. The show, created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, tells the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton through hip-hop, jazz and R&B, and offers a look at history with an entertaining score. Based on Ron Chernow's biography, Hamilton took seven years for Manuel to compose, and since its debut Off-Broadway in 2015 it has continued to receive critical acclaim. If you love musicals then you are going to love Hamilton, and if you are a hesitant theatre-goer this show will change how you think with the musical appealing to a younger audience with its score and its storyline drawing in both a young and mature audience, with those familiar and unfamiliar with the history of America.
