H&M has teamed up with New York-based fashion designers Ev Bravado and Téla D'Amore to turn the works of art by Basquiat into wearable art.
H&M has teamed up with fashion designers Ev Bravado and Téla D'Amore to bring us a 30-piece collection that lets us bring into our fashion life the works of art of Jean-Michel Basquiat, one of the most important street artists of our time.
Ev Bravado and Téla D'Amore were named the semi-finalists for the 2024 LVMH Prize and finalists for the 2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, and they are known for designing clothes using upcycled denim. Using their savoir-faire, they bring Basquiat's iconic imagery and rarely seen artworks to their own stained glass motif, creating a collection that is both statement-making as well as budget-savvy.
The marriage of these two worlds sees jackets, shirts, jeans and a bomber jacket with placement prints and embroidered patches of Basquiat's art that will add the sophistication of the art world to the savviness of high street fashion.
