She has been wowing art-lovers for eight decades with her iconic polka dots covering everything from pumpkins to even the Louis Vuitton boutique in Paris. Now Yayoi Kusama's colourful work is taking over the NGV in Melbourne with a retrospective exhibition that celebrates the artist and her signature dots. 200 works are currently showcased across the entire ground floor of the NGV and features the immersive infinity mirror room, which has been unveiled for the very first time in the world, inviting you to walk through the mind of the Japanese artist.

Admirers of music and fashion will get a thrill of the Australian Music Vault at the Arts Centre. The free permanent exhibition celebrates the art of pop culture through music memorabilia with pieces from some of Australia's most iconic singers including Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newton-John and Nick Cave. See outfits from popular music videos, designer looks from concerts and personal notebooks.

The Immigration Museum in Melbourne is hosting a wonderful exhibition taking you straight to Paris with The Notre-Dame de Paris: The Augmented Exhibition, an interactive exhibition whereby you are taken on a marvellous voyage to the French capital, letting you relive the history of the cathedral with a 3D, 360-degree immersive exhibition. From the Middle Ages when construction began to the wedding of King Henry IV in 1572 and Napoleon's coronation in 1804, visitors to the museum will experience a unique lesson in the history of one of the world's most famous cathedrals.

This week from January 30 to February 2 The Other Art Fair is returning to Melbourne with over 100 emerging and independent artists showcasing their works. The Fair is a wonderful palette of different art forms including painting, digital art, photography and sculpture, with interactive installations immersing visitors into the colourful world of art.
