The National Gallery of Victoria brings ancient Egypt to Melbourne with its exclusive exhibition, Pharaoh.

They ruled Egypt for three thousand years and now the NGV is celebrating the Egyptian rulers with the exclusive exhibition, Pharaoh. Showcasing more than 500 works on loan from the British Museum, the exhibition celebrates 3000 years of ancient Egyptian art and culture with many works on display in Australia for the very first time. Discover sculptures, temple architecture and ancient Egyptian jewellery as you walk through the seven thematic sections, delving you into the world of the mysterious rulers. The largest ancient Egyptian exhibition to be shown in Australia, Pharaoh explores the roles and duties of the pharaohs and their mythologies. Mesmerising, educational and grandiose, this exhibition is an exceptional show not to be missed for a moment spent in history.
