The Lume’s latest immersive exhibition will delve you in the world famous masterpieces painted by the great Leonardo da Vinci. The exhibition, Leonardo da Vinci - 500 Years of Genius, invites you to walk through and take in the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper on a larger-than-life scale. Projected all around the space you can get up close and personal to the greatest artworks in the world and marvel at the intricate details in the paintings that have become part of history. The exhibition also brings together models of the inventions da Vinci also imagined, with the engineer and scientist being the great mind behind water systems, work tools and even flying machines. An interactive installation also invites you to measure yourself against the Vitruvian Man, da Vinci’s famous drawing of the ideal human body proportions. Original writings are also exhibited, transporting you to ancient Italy and into one of the greatest minds. Beautiful music with opera dramatically playing in the background creates a unique atmosphere in which you take in the history swirling all around you with quite profound quotes from the painter projected intermittently, giving you a glimpse into the mind of the celebrated artist. To complete the experience, The Lume’s café offers an Italian-inspired menu, inviting you to enjoy the tastes of the land that da Vinci lived on and where he created history.
