Beck Stevens Shows Us How To Perfect Our Style

Beck Stevens always looks good and to tap into her effortless style we asked the stylist to share with us her top tips to always look put together.

Australian fashion stylist Beck Stevens knows how to dress for every occasion and to get ready for the party season we asked her how to look our best while still keeping calm throughout the festivities.

How would you describe your style?

Relaxed, authentic, vibrant.

What are you favourite brands?

I love supporting Aussie brands. A favourite leather brand of mine is Anaé Collection from Melbourne, their pieces are classic, timeless and can be dressed up or down. Their strapless dress has been on high rotation for me. I walk a lot so my go-to activewear brand is Dharma Bums. Their sustainable fabrics and skilled craftsmanship ensure the durability and longevity of each garment. I’ve been wearing this label for a few years and they never disappoint.

What are your favourite jewellery/accessory brands?

I never leave home without a good pair of sunnies and of course the brand I wear is Locello Eyewear, my go-to right now are the Iris style. The gold linked arm details add a touch of glam to my everyday outfits. I love layering my jewellery and find Aussie brand Liberte has really luxurious looking pieces but without the price tag.

How would you recommend elevating a look while sticking to a budget?

I would invest in key accessories like shoes, handbags and jewellery to instantly upgrade any outfit. Your outfit doesn’t have to be expensive when you accessorise well. I love adding a pop of colour with shoes or handbags. Try red heels with an all black outfit.

With the festive season upon us what are the 5 tips for looking great?

1. I love the Audrey Hepburn saying “for beautiful lips, speak words of kindness” and so my first tip is just that - be kind! You never know what someone is going through and it will always make you look great.

2. Party make up. Why not add some shimmer to your make-up look this holiday season.

3. I always love buying new PJs at Christmas. Amp up your pajama game and try some festive PJs for you and your loved ones. My son is 4 and every year I purchase fun Christmas matching sets for us. Last year it was the MR MEN Book Pajamas. They were a hit!

4. With the festive season being so magical it can also come with too many amazing foods and drinks so to keep in shape make the most of the sunshine and the beautiful beaches, get outdoors and do some coastal walks or hikes in the bush.

5. Try not to stress this holiday season. With all the to-do lists and the extra visitors, keep your sense of humour and laugh anything off if it doesn’t go to plan.
