French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson was known for his poetic, candid photography and now in the recently reopened Musée Carnavalet the artist's street photography is being celebrated through a photo exhibition.
Dedicated to the history of Paris, Musée Carnavalet is the perfect art space to showcase Henri Cartier-Bresson - Revoir Paris, a photo exhibition showing off the French capital as seen through the eyes of the celebrated photographer. An empty park, a sweet kiss shared by a couple at a café and portraits of other famous artists make up the black and white photo exhibition that highlight the talent of Cartier-Bresson who once said that "life is once and forever," describing how he captures life, in that he feels the need to just click away and walk away with a slice of life, because as he describes it, "you cannot go back and ask someone to smile again." The show plunges the visitor into Paris through the past decades, an ode to its romance, its people, and its history, making for a wonderful exhibition to take in while visiting one of the world's most loved and admired cities.
