Paris always delights with its culinary offerings, but this month make sure you bite into three pop-up events that are sure to treat your taste buds to a wonderful feast.
Paris's landmark department store Galeries Lafayette is celebrating Japanese cuisine in its Gourmet space with an appetising pop-up. On the ground floor of the Maison & Gourmet building, you will find delicacies presented by Aki Boulangerie, Gili-Gili and Wakaze France with onigiri, mochi rice cakes and a selection of sakés waiting to be sampled.
A champagne tasting? Yes please! On Saturday the 7th of May, Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild will be hosting Champagne Tasting, an annual event with 70 champagne houses popping their bottles and showing off their unique bubbles. Masterclasses held by Ruinart and Veuve Clicquot will be organised as well as a blind tasting to test your palate, giving you an extra excuse to get your hands on another champagne flute.
Everyone's favourite tea salon in Paris, Angelina, has created a sweet pastry for Mother's Day that will delight the heart and the taste buds. In the shape of a heart and with a delicate handprint, Empreinte, meaning print in French, is a meringue cake filled with a light mousse, berries and a creamy vanilla ganache, an edible ode to mums and the mark left on all hearts.
