A Day of French Gardening

Walk around the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire and smell the roses around its historically-listed landscape.

Could there be a more splendid way to spend a day than by being surrounded by beautiful and fragrant flowers and plants in a historical site in France? The Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire, an hour and a half train ride from Paris in the famous Loire Valley, is the dream destination for anyone with a green thumb, especially during the upcoming weekend of the 18th of September. Over two days, the prestigious Les Botaniques de Chaumont-sur-Loire event celebrates the art of gardening with horticulturists on-hand giving advice on the perfect plant for your home or garden. The outdoor event is for everyone, you don't even need to be obsessed with gardening to appreciate the event with the landscape enough to make you feel like you travelled to another fragrant time. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Domaine is also the site of a château that once belonged to Catherine de Medici and which is now a museum that is open to the public.
