8 Places From Emily in Paris You Must Visit

Before Emily jetted off to Rome she made Paris her gorgeous playground. Follow in Emily in Paris's glamorous steps and indulge in the French capital's most revered hotspots.

With its famous facade dressed in red geraniums the Plaza Athénée is synonymous with Paris, creating a backdrop to a fabulous séjour in the fashion capital. If you can't afford a stay in the plush hotel you can still enjoy its chic offerings including champagne and pastries in La Galerie.

In the latest season of Emily in Paris, Emily followed Camille to Giverny and discovered Monet's house and gardens, and you too can find yourself in a real-life Monet painting by heading out to the iconic home. An hour and a half from Paris, Giverny is where Claude Monet lived and where he painted his famous water lilies.

Forget eggs, the French start their day with a sweet breakfast, and one of Paris's most famous cafés that even Emily could not resist is Carette where you can indulge in their creamy hot chocolate and buttery croissants.

The Ritz is another hotel that exudes Paris luxury and what better way to experience the art of living à la French with a fine dining experience at Espadon. The hotel's al fresco restaurant serves fine French cuisine that you can enjoy under the starry skies of the capital.

A former train station, the Musée d'Orsay is a museum on the Left Bank housing the largest collection of Impressionist and post-Impressionist works in the world. You will recognise it as the backdrop to Gabriel and Camille deciding on getting married but more importantly it is in this museum that you can discover Vincent Van Gogh's self-portrait and Gustave Courbet's The Origin of the World.

She went to see Swan Lake at the Palais Garnier and you too can walk up the majestic stairs of the sumptuous opera house just like Emily and watch a ballet while seated in plush red velvet seats with your chéri and spend an evening surrounded by art and history.

Before Emily took Sylvie to Gabriel's restaurant she tried to get a table at the iconic Le Grand Véfour. If you are more organised than Emily was you can experience a lunch or dinner at the Guy Martin restaurant nestled in Palais Royal where exquisite French cuisine is served under a historic roof where Victor Hugo, Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir once dined.

A walk through the City of Love and tracing Emily's steps is never complete without a moment spent in front of The Wall of Love in the Montmartre neighbourhood. The love-themed monument is made up of over 600 tiles of enamelled lava with I Love You written on them in different languages.
