French wine, Aussie coffee and a heritage-listed estate, this weekend in Melbourne spells out personal enjoyment.
This Sunday discover the Rippon Lea Estate, one of the National Trust of Australia's pride and joy. The heritage-listed historic house will be welcoming guests to spend the day in its gardens for the return of the Botanica Festival. The event will see garden tours, an open-air market and a Bonsai exhibition come together for a wonderful day spent outdoors. The Botanica Festival will be running from 10am to 3pm and will also play host to the Trust's biggest ever plant sale, so if you are a green thumb this is where you need to be this weekend.
Aussies are very particular when it comes to coffee, especially Melburnians, and this weekend McCafé is honouring the Aussie coffee lover with free Australianos, the McCafé's new signature coffee blend. Made with native Australian wattleseed, chai and locally-roasted coffee beens, the Australiano will be available for a limited time only, but this Saturday you can try it for free at the Catani Gardens in St Kilda from 7am to 1pm before the freebie train leaves on its journey up to the Sunshine State via Bondi Beach after of course scheduling another stop in Melbourne on the 10th of June at Fed Square.
A weekend in Melbourne is never complete without a drink in the CBD and this weekend make sure you experience the new Pearl Chablis and Oyster Bar. Located on the bustling Bourke Street, the bar specialises in serving fine drops of Chablis wine, from France's Chablis region of Burgundy, and Australia's premium oysters. French wine and Australian oysters, could there be a better aphrodisiac combination for a sexy date night?!
